Activity ideas

  • Explore habitats: With the children, look around the school grounds for potential hiding places and hazards for hedgehogs. Leave any existing shelters undisturbed.
  • Provide a winter shelter: With your class, make a pile of leaves and brushwood in a sheltered spot. Make sure it is left undisturbed, especially in winter.
  • Presenting results: Create a poster with the children on the topic “How to make a garden hedgehog-friendly.” Add drawings, short informational texts, and selected question cards.
