Activity ideas

• Create a large class map of Schleswig-Holstein. On a blank sheet of A1 cardboard, draw the state’s outline, the courses of its rivers, the locations of its hills and mountains, and its major cities. Add pictures and short information cards. Use string to connect the cards to the correct places.
• The picture at the beginning was taken in the Viking settlement of Haithabu near Schleswig.
