Activity ideas
- With Hamsterkiste's learning pages, you can create topic folders . Collect everything you come across about monkeys in them.
- Become a monkey researcherThe children look at photos of different kinds of monkeys, such as gorillas, chimpanzees and baboons. In small groups, they investigate: What does the fur look like? Does the monkey have a tail? Where does it live, and what does it eat? Each group creates a simple fact file and introduces “their” monkey.
- Move like monkeysIn the gym, set up an obstacle course: The children balance across a low bench, move on all fours and swing from suitable equipment. Afterwards, discuss: Which movements were easy or difficult? How do monkeys use their arms, legs and grasping hands in their habitat?
